Perhap! the view inside the picture are not similar to the little airstrip nearby a remote village downstream Belaga Town. What I want to mention here is that, why this small town Belaga has never boost itseft especially it development level, eventhough there had a super mega project known HEP Bakun implemented in this area. Why? I don't know maybe the project can be classified as enclave development. Unlike others town which locate closely to big town as well as river mouth and beaches areas in Sarawak, the people in these area still remain their tradition life and activities without earn extra benefit. What they got? nothing. Just extra colour of their river. The fish for their daily needs and protein source had gone. Also, the water level become shallow due sedimentation which deposited by the logging activites at river top. To buy a kilo of salt or sugar, they pay double or triple. The young and the youth, has leave their village to hunt a little opportunity at big town. Unfortunately, most of them unqualified to such sector prefer.
